We expect many more mobile AR MMOs to come out in the next while, and we can’t wait to see in what ways they improve upon the groundwork laid by Pokémon Go.īattlerite is technically in early access, but as many of you probably know we have a stance to consider EA titles “released” when they’re taking money and not wiping progress. While there remain many issues we’d like to see fixed or features we want added (Turn-Based battles, PVP duels, etc), Pokémon Go is the sort of game that will drive a new wave of games in the mobile space. Though its fanfare has waned in the resulting months since its launch, there’s little denying that Niantic’s AR MMO is a phenomenon. It’s the end of the year as we know it, and that means it’s time for us here at to gather around and salute our picks for the best MMOs and RPGs of 2016, plus the ones we’re most anxious for in 2017.
